This policy explains what information Measure & Build collects, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to measureandbuild.com and any subdomains.
The short version
The calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into a calculator is sent to this website or stored anywhere. No account is required and nothing is sold.
What is collected: anonymous usage statistics through analytics, advertising cookies from third parties, and whatever you voluntarily send through the contact form.

Measure & Build is an independent website operated by Saqib Javaid. It is not a company, and it does not sell products or services.

Calculator data stays in your browser
This matters more than anything else in this policy, so it comes first.
Every calculator on this site runs as JavaScript inside your own browser. The dimensions, prices and settings you enter are processed on your device and never transmitted to this website. There is no server-side calculation, no database of submissions, and no log of what anyone has calculated.
If you enter the dimensions of your property, a project budget, or anything else into a calculator here, that information does not leave your computer. Closing the tab discards it. There is nothing for me to see, store, sell or hand over.
What is collected
Information you give voluntarily
If you use the contact form or email directly, I receive your name, email address and message. This is used only to reply to you. It is not added to any mailing list and is not shared with anyone.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, standard technical data is recorded when you visit:
- Approximate location, usually to city or region level, derived from IP address
- Device type, browser and operating system
- Which pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and where you arrived from
- Screen size and general technical characteristics
This is aggregate and anonymous. It tells me that a page was viewed a certain number of times from a certain country; it does not identify you personally.
Third-party services
The following third parties may set cookies or receive data when you visit. Each has its own privacy policy, which governs how it handles that data.

Third-party vendors including Google use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits here and elsewhere on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Opting out does not remove advertising; it makes it less relevant to you.

Legal basis for processing
Where the UK or EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, the legal bases relied on are:
- Consent — for advertising and analytics cookies, requested through the cookie banner where required
- Legitimate interest — for basic security logging and aggregate statistics needed to keep the site running and understand what content is useful
- Consent — for contact form submissions, which you give by choosing to send a message
If you are in California, the CCPA and CPRA give you specific rights described below. This site does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information held about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time, including for cookies
- Complain to your local data protection authority
In practice the only personal information I hold directly is email correspondence. To have it deleted, email [email protected] and it will be removed, normally within 30 days.
For data held by Google through analytics or advertising, use Google’s own controls, since I have no access to individual-level records.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent personal information through the contact form, email me and it will be deleted.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and the server is encrypted. Software is kept updated and access to the site’s administration is protected.
No website can promise absolute security, and I won’t pretend otherwise. What limits the risk here is that very little is collected in the first place — there is no user database, no accounts, no payment processing and no stored calculator data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the date at the foot of this page will be updated. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
This policy lists Google Analytics, Google AdSense and Google Fonts. If any of these is not actually running on the site, remove it from the table above. A privacy policy that describes services you don’t use is inaccurate, and an inaccurate privacy policy is worse than a short one.
